Urban Woof NYC® (“we,” “us”) operates dog daycare, boarding, grooming and dog walking services at 314-318 East 78th Street and 1476 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website (urbanwoofnyc.com), our online booking portal and our text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you create an account, book a service or contact us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, home address, emergency contacts and the people authorized to pick up your dog.
  • Information about your dog. Name, breed, age, photos, vaccination records, veterinarian, feeding and medication instructions, and notes about behavior and care.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our website.
  • Website usage information. When you visit our website, cookies and similar technologies may collect information such as pages visited, device and browser type, and general location (see Section 4).

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, schedule and confirm our services and to care for your dog safely.
  • To process payments and keep account records.
  • To contact you about reservations, reminders, report cards, updates about your dog and, in an emergency, your emergency contacts.
  • With your consent, to send occasional news and promotions. You can opt out at any time.
  • To understand how visitors use our website and to improve our services and advertising.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect the safety of the dogs in our care, our clients and our team.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, such as our booking and client-management software (Gingr), payment processors, email and text-message providers, and website analytics and advertising tools. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us. We may also share information with your veterinarian or an emergency veterinarian when needed for your dog’s health, or when required by law.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Tag Manager and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure and improve our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings. Our website will still work if you block cookies.

5. Text messages (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you may receive text messages from Urban Woof NYC about your reservations and your dog, and, if you agree, marketing messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

6. How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we limit access to team members who need it to care for your dog or manage your account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services, keep required business records, resolve disputes and comply with the law.

8. Your choices

  • You can review and update your account information in our client portal or by contacting us.
  • You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email, and from text messages by replying STOP.
  • You can ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law.

9. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
