Dog Walking with Marcos Santos

Urban Woof NYC began in 2005 as a dog walking service on the Upper East Side. Today we also run dog daycare, boarding and grooming at two locations, East 78th Street and Lexington Avenue at 95th Street, but dog walking is still where it all started, and it is still personally run by our co-founder, Marcos Santos.

A true passion-oriented professional, Marcos brings his work ethic and dedication together with his love for animals. Having always shared his home with a dog, he knows exactly what it feels like to leave your pet in someone else’s hands, even for a little while. That is why he gets to know every dog and every family personally.

How dog walking works

  • Recurring plans only. Dog walking requires a commitment of at least 3 walks per week. We do not offer single or occasional walks.
  • Meet & greet first. Every new client starts with an in-person meeting, so you and Marcos can get to know each other and Marcos can meet your dog before the first walk.
  • A dedicated team of walkers. Marcos works with a team of trusted dog walkers. We always do our best to keep the same walker with your dog, but occasionally schedules change because of illness, time off or other personal circumstances. When that happens, another member of our team steps in so your dog’s routine continues without interruption.
  • Book directly with Marcos. Dog walking is not booked through our online portal or our front desk.
  • Text is the best way to reach him. Marcos is usually out with the dogs and may not be able to answer calls, but he replies to text messages as soon as possible.
